Chief Martin of the Carthage Fire Department will be escorting tractors and assisting with traffic flow during the 2nd Annual Carthage Tractor Drive this Saturday, May 17th.

Starting at 8:00 AM on Monday, May 12th, the Centennial & Main intersection will be completely closed for gas line improvement work by Mears.
🚫 There will be no access through this intersection from 8:00 AM until the work is complete. Please plan ahead and use alternate routes.

🚖 Important Taxi Service Update – Starting Monday, April 14th at 8:00 AM 🚖
We want to let everyone know about a new process for requesting taxi rides in our community:
📞 You’ll still call the same taxi phone numbers, but your call will now be forwarded to the Police Department where one of our Communications Officers will assist you.
👉 When you call, please be ready to give:
Your name
Phone number
Pickup location
🚕 A driver will be dispatched to your location via radio. Once you’re in the taxi, just let the driver know your destination.
🕒 Please note: We will no longer be taking appointments for rides. Per ADA guidelines, no one will be given priority over another.
This is a big change for all of us, and we kindly ask for your patience and understanding as we adjust to the new system.
