The City of Carthage encourages residents to roll up their sleeves and help save lives at the upcoming Carthage Community Blood Drive on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Memorial Hall's Main Conference Area, 407 S. Garrison Avenue.
The blood drive will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and provides an opportunity for community members to make a meaningful impact on patients in hospitals throughout the region.
As a special thank-you, all donors will receive a "You Otter Give Blood" T-shirt and a voucher for two admissions to Dickerson Park Zoo, while supplies last.
Every blood donation helps ensure hospitals have the lifesaving blood products needed for surgeries, cancer treatments, traumatic injuries, and emergency situations. A single donation can make a difference for multiple patients and helps maintain a reliable blood supply for local communities.
Appointments are encouraged and can be scheduled by calling 417-227-5006 or by visiting the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks Donation Website.
