The City of Carthage is now accepting applications for the 10th Annual Food Truck Friday season. Applications are open to food trucks, vendors, nonprofit organizations, informational booths, and entertainment interested in participating in this community-favorite event series.

Food Truck Friday is held on the second Friday of each month from April through September, running 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., in Central Park, located just steps from the historic Route 66 byway. In celebration of the Route 66 Centennial, each event throughout the 2026 season will feature a Route 66–themed experience.

Applications are open to any participant who is able to obtain the required licensing to do business in the City of Carthage in accordance with city ordinance. All businesses must also be able to collect and remit sales tax to the City of Carthage, as applicable.

Food Truck Friday has grown into one of Carthage’s most anticipated events, bringing together local and regional food, shopping, entertainment including live music, and community organizations while highlighting the city’s historic charm and Route 66 heritage.

Interested participants are encouraged to apply early, as space is limited and applications do not guarantee placement. Additional details, requirements, and application forms are available through The Visit Carthage Website
