The City of Carthage is calling on residents to show their support for local first responders by participating in the upcoming Boots, Badges & Bandages Community Challenge Blood Drive. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Carthage Memorial Hall’s Main Conference Area, located at 407 S. Garrison.

This community-focused blood drive, organized in partnership with the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO), honors the bravery and service of first responders—EMS, police, fire, and dispatch—with the powerful message: "Bravery in Action: Save Lives, Donate Blood."

All donors will receive a free commemorative T-shirt while supplies last.

To streamline the donation process, appointments are encouraged. Interested donors can schedule their slot by calling 417-227-5006 or visiting www.cbco.org/bootsandbadges. Photo ID is required, and all participants are reminded to eat well and stay hydrated before donating.

The CBCO is the exclusive provider of blood to all local hospitals, making every donation vital to the well-being of the community. By giving blood, participants not only contribute to a lifesaving cause but also show their support for the everyday heroes who protect and serve.

Join us on June 25—be brave, save lives, and support our first responders.
