tree planting

The City of Carthage recently received a Community Forestry Cost-Share grant from the Missouri Department of Conservation, aimed at enhancing urban forests and promoting the many benefits of healthy trees.

With support from the grant, the City planted 41 new trees throughout Central Park. These additions not only beautify the area but also support environmental sustainability and improve the quality of public green spaces.

City officials expressed appreciation for the continued partnership with the Missouri Department of Conservation, which plays a key role in helping Carthage grow and maintain a thriving tree canopy for future generations.
